Hello! My name is Mariam Karimi and this my digital portfolio. I come from the Kingdom of Bahrain and currently reside in the US. I am a graudate student at the Georgetown University College of Arts in the Communications, Culture & Technology program. 

 

All my life I grew up around a lot of people that were very sure of what they wanted to do. They had a set goal of what degree it is they wanted to attain and what job to pursue with it. While that is a rewarding life assurane, my goal is to bring interdisciplinarity and critical thinking into any work I do. I want to look beyond the one objective, and include different perspectives into everything I produce.

Coming from a culturally diverse background, I carry with me the mentality of remain culturally aware and knowledgeable. I make a conscious effort at being well read and informed. This theme of diversity remains a focal point in all my endeavors, like this portfolio.

This portfolio attempts to showcase my skills by personifying different tasks and accomplishments I have had. Through out this portfolio you will see examples of research, analytical skills, creative, and technical works I have done.
